Organic Matter Causes Chemical Pollutant Dissipation Along With Adsorption and Microbial Degradation

چکیده
Views on the entry of organic pollutants into matter (OM) decaying process are divergent, and in part poorly understood. To clarify these interactions, pesticide dissipation was monitored mineral soils not adapted to contaminants for 241 days; groundwater sediment slurries pesticides 399 their sterilized counterparts with without peat (5%) or compost-peat-sand (CPS, 15%) mixture addition. The results showed that simazine, atrazine terbuthylazine (not slurries) were chemically dissipated soil, CPS-amended slurries, but soil slurries. Hexazinone best amended In contrast, dichlobenil product 2,6-dichlorobenzamide (BAM) concentrations lowest while generally poor regardless plant-derived OM, only algal agar enhanced its chemical dissipation. Based counterparts, terbutryn appeared be microbially degraded i.e., would appear utmost important, could first response natural cleansing capacity environment, during which microbial degradation evolves. Consistent compound-specific environments, long-term pentachloroaniline hexachlorobenzene mineral-rich soils, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DTT) metabolites old market gardens. OM amendments changed towards observed soil; is accelerated, slowed down stopped

Sorption, degradation and leaching of pesticides in soils amended with organic matter: A review
The use of pesticides in modern agriculture is unavoidable because they are required to control weeds. Pesticides are poisonous; hence, they are dangerous if misused. Understanding the fate of pesticides will be useful to use them safely. Therefore, contaminations of water and soil resources could be avoided. The fates of pesticides in soils are influenced by their sorption, decomposition and m...

متن کاملPollutant and organic matter content in sediment particle size fractions
In a partly urbanized catchment to the south of Trier, Germany, selected sediment samples were separated into different size fractions ranging from <2 urn to 200 urn. Each sample fraction was analysed for heavy metals, poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCB), poly cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and organic carbon. The results show a linear correlation between heavy metal content and particle size....

متن کاملHeterotrophic microbial activity and organic matter degradation in coastal lagoons of Colombia.
In this study we measured the community respiration and the bacterial respiration as part of the overall degradation process of organic material. Additionally, the turnover rates of the pools of dissolved free glucose and acetate as representatives of the fraction of easily degradable low molecular organic solutes were determined. The study was performed in several coastal lagoons of the "Outer...
